Fountain Valley Events

Our designated course completion time has been set at 3 hours and 30 minutes. Commencing at 7:30 AM, the race clock concludes its timing at 11:00 AM.

All events are gun timed. Meaning we will start the clock when the horn sounds and record your time as you cross the finish line. For this reason, your bib needs to be worn on the front of your body at all times.

Every participant, without exception, will proudly claim a finisher's medal, a symbol of your triumph etched in metal. But that's not all – as you cross that finish line, a treasure trove of finish line goodies will be yours to savor, a delightful celebration of your accomplishment.

Capture the moment forever with our gift of free downloadable race photos – snapshots that freeze your journey in time, allowing you to relive the joy, the dedication, and the sheer exhilaration. Photos are typically posted within 24 hours of the event. 

Curious about your performance? Fear not. Race results will be meticulously tabulated and promptly posted on our website, within 5 hours of the last finisher. The thrill of anticipation is fleeting, as we're committed to keeping you informed and satisfied.

• Location: Mile Square Park, Parking Lot E - Across the street from 11014 Lavender Ave, Fountain Valley, CA 92708 
• Park on Euclid if spots are available or enter the park at 16790-16774 Mt Whitney St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, pay to enter, follow the road to the right and turn right into Parking Lot E
• Bib Pickup: Starts at 7 am
• Race Start Times:
  • Half Marathon: 7:30 am
  • 5k, 10k:  7:45 am
• Parking Fee: $5.00 per car at Mile Square Park (Opens at 7 am). Limited free street parking available.

• Early Start: Early starters can begin 30 minutes before the official start time. Park outside the park and pick up your bib early.

We embrace an open-course philosophy, inviting a vibrant tapestry of fellow runners, walkers, and enthusiasts to share the day's experience with you. Safety is our cornerstone, and to ensure it, all runners are kindly requested to remain on the designated pedestrian path. 

• The race starts at Parking Lot E. 
• 5k, and 10k runners will follow the scenic path around the park, making a loop around Freedom Hall and Swan Lake before heading back to the start.
  • 5k: 1 loop
  • 10k: 2 loops

• Half Marathoners will complete 4 loops. Additionally, they'll make 1 loop at the end of the race, circling the playground facing Warner Ave. before coming 
• Water stations are conveniently placed near Swan Lake and at the finish for loop runners.The course elegantly follows the park paths without deviation, assuring you a seamless journey. We have 2 water stations strategically placed on course with water and gatorade.

From the very first step, runners are embraced by the park's charm. Towering, ancient shade trees cast dappled patterns of sunlight onto the path, creating a picturesque canopy overhead. As you traverse the course, quaint wooden bridges beckon you forward, adding a touch of rustic elegance to your journey.

Mile Square Park is not just a race location; it's a sanctuary of wonder. Along your route, you'll encounter delightful playgrounds, where the laughter of children fills the air, and the innocence of playtime infuses the atmosphere with joy. Graceful geese and serene ducks gracefully grace the park's water features, adding a harmonious touch of nature's artistry.

The course is thoughtfully marked with signs, chalk and flags, gently guiding you through the park's winding pathways. At crucial intersections, signs cheerfully point left or right, ensuring a seamless and worry-free navigation.

Sorry but there are NO REFUNDS but we do offer transfers into another High Tides Run until 48 hours before the event.
